SO SOLID CREW

So Solid Crew are best known for their wide success in the early 2000’s and are credited with having paved the way for the current generation of crossover UK hip hop stars.

 

They released their first Album ‘They Don’t Know’ in October 2001, ‘Oh No’ and ’21 Seconds’ which reached number 1 in the UK singles chart and ‘They Don’t Know’ reached number three. In 2002 ‘This Is So Solid’ documentary aired on Channel 4 which was later released on DVD by Universal along with a live performance.

So Solid won the Best British Video at the 2002 BRIT Awards. They have since been deemed an inspiration on a whole generation of UK grime and hip hop artists.

In 2022 So Solid Crew had an exclusive documentary out by BET for Channel 5 called 'Iconic Albums'.
