SARAH VINE

Author, Columnist & Podcaster.

‘Exceptionally clever. An excellent writer. Insanely fast. And very, very brave. Sarah Vine has become the beating heart of the Mail – the columnist readers turn to first to make sense of it all – and now, for the fourth time in five years, Tabloid Columnist of the Year, the only writer ever to win it so many times. What she provides is a masterclass in writing tabloid columns.’

The Press Awards 2024, Tabloid Columnist of the Year Award.

Sarah worked at the Daily Mirror and then spent 15 years at The Times. While there she met and married future Cabinet minister Michael Gove: she was the arts editor, and he was the comments editor. As he moved on from journalism to politics, Sarah joined the Daily Mail where she still is today. She has a regular column each week, as well as a weekly podcast with fellow columnist Peter Hitchins.

Her memoir How Not To Be a Political Wife has just been published. An instant bestseller, it is an unflinching account of life at the heart of politics, a story of high hopes and dirty tricks, broken friendships and divided loyalties, laughter and glamour. Upon publication it’s revelations have unleashed the war of the Westminster WAGs, which looks set to run into extra time.
