Rosanna Davison, the daughter of famous Irish rock star Chris de Burgh, was born on April 17th 1984, in Dublin and brought up in Ireland.
In August 2003, Rosanna was entered into the Miss Ireland finals in Dublin and winning that competition, she competed for the title of Miss World 2003 alongside 105 other young women. On December 6th Rosanna was crowned the 52nd Miss World and the first ever in Ireland’s history. Miss World – The Final is the world’s largest live annual television event with global viewers topping two billion in more than 200 countries. Rosanna’s role as Miss World involved fundraising for a number of international children’s charities, international appearances, fashion shows and photo shoots, and regular television and radio appearances.
Rosanna graduated from University College Dublin in 2006 with a 1:1 in Sociology and a 2:1 in History of Art.
Rosanna graduated in February 2014 from The College of Naturopathic Medicine as a fully qualified and registered Nutritional Therapist.
Rosanna’s debut nutrition, lifestyle and cookery book, Eat Yourself Beautiful, is a number one bestseller and the fastest selling cookbook in Ireland of 2015.
Her second bestselling book, Eat Yourself Fit, was published by Gill Books in September 2016.
Rosanna has been working as a full-time international model, writer and media personality. She has been featured in numerous fashion shows and photo shoots for such publications as Hello, OK!, Vanity Fair Germany and UK, Irish and UK Tatler Magazine, Loaded Magazine, RSVP, U Magazine, Stellar Magazine and Prudence Magazine. Some of the companies she has represented include Marks and Spencer, Timberland, Lipsy London, Motorola, National Lottery, Debenhams, Rally Ireland, Specsavers, Walkers Crisps, Grey Goose and Audi.
Rosanna has been on the catwalk at many fashion shows including C&A, House of Fraser and Paul Costelloe for London Fashion Week, and has also been involved in two campaigns for Newbridge Silverware. She was chosen as the face of high-profile jewellery companies Chatila and Susannah Lovis.
Rosanna was an ambassador for Audi Ireland from 2007 – 2010. In 2009, Rosanna was chosen by European confectionery company Lambertz, to be the cover girl of their exclusive 2010 calendar and ambassador of the brand.
In 2012, Rosanna fronted a German campaign to launch the new Volkswagen Golf and is currently an ambassador for VW Ireland.
Rosanna posed for the cover of Playboy (GAS countries – Germany / Austria / Switzerland) which was published on 13th Sept 2012.
Following its success, Playboy America publisher the photographs in 2013, making Rosanna the only Miss World winner to pose for the publication.
Rosanna has written travel articles for the UK Sunday Mail, fashion and cultural pieces for The Sunday Independent LIFE Magazine, U Magazine and weekly columns for The Dubliner Magazine and The Evening Herald. In 2010 she illustrated the children’s novel by author Marisa Mackle, entitled The Girl with the Yellow Dress, followed by the sequel, Lucy Goes to Hollywood.
Rosanna got married in Ibiza with family and close friends on 1st June 2014 and then celebrated back in Ireland on 21st June 2014. Both the wedding in Ibiza and the wedding reception in Co. Wicklow, Ireland were covered by Hello! magazine.
Rosanna lives in Dublin with her husband, Wesley, and their two dogs, Leo and Ted.
