Jon’s career in entertainment began with a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham.


Upon graduation he formed his own Theatre Company, TIC TOC, and wrote and directed many successful plays including the hugely successful “Hooligans” which won a prestigious Edinburgh Fringe First, The Perrier Pick of the Fringe and transferred to the West End.


This play was performed all over the UK and was bought and made into a TV drama by Yorkshire TV.


Jon then became a TV writer, including a two year stint as part of the scriptwriting team of Emmerdale.


He started his radio career at BBC Coventry and has also had shows on BBC WM and BBC Three Counties amongst many others.


He has been nominated for many radio awards and is the only person to ever win three Sony Gold Awards in one night; Best Speech Presenter, Best Breakfast Show and Best Talk Show.


As a result of this success Jon was headhunted for BBC London where he hosted the mid-morning phone in show for five years covering such events as 7/7.


He then became a columnist on the Sun newspaper with a weekly column read by millions for over five years and he also secured the morning current affairs phone in show on TalkSport radio.

During this period he was much in demand appearing on shows as diverse as Alan Titchmarsh, Sky News and


BBC TV Question Time. He has also presented and produced numerous news segments, films and documentaries.


He created and presented the first ever Newspaper radio Station, SunTalk with the Sun Newspaper and won a prestigious British Press Award for Digital Innovation.


In the past year Jon has developed a new app based radio and podcast station and within eight months has had over 4 million downloads of his popular phone in current affairs podcast. He now broadcasts from state of the art studios in West London on the aptly named app.


Jon is opinionated, straight talking and speaks from the heart and combines his political and news knowledge with a great sense of humour & wit.
